Flat out love6/30/2023 ![]() ![]() My favorite of the book is probably Celeste. The characters definitely made for an enjoyable read. It'd be great if this was what's going on." I was impressed by just how much thought had to go into making this story work with the complicated back-story, the unique and dysfunctional Watkins family, and coming-of-age growth that Julie's character went through. I don't want to read it now" and much more "Could this really be the situation? I NEED to know. It was less of "wow, I figured this book out. While I was able to make strong assumptions of the outcome, early in the novel, it was the journey to the actual reveal and confirming/disproving my assumptions that might have been the best part. This story really stood out to me as an original and enjoyable read the whole way through. It was hard to put down and very easy to get back into a steady reading pace the few times I had to put it down. ![]() Flat-Out Love was a great book for me to have picked up. ![]()

The devil wears black lj shen6/30/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() Chase took a bit to warm up to which I kind of liked, he had his flaws but all in all its those flaws which made me love him more. I loved seeing them grow, especially our heroine Madison whom I just adored. Madison and Chase were as different as chalk and cheese but together they were perfection, from the banter to the sexual tension which sizzled off the pages, these two had me captivated. Shen was dipping her toes in this genre I was giddy, the feels, the angsty emotional turmoil when things go south are what I seek in this type of trope and this author delivered it in spades. ![]() Throw in a fake relationship and its one that I will come back to again and again, and the fact that L.J.
